I put a question mark in the title of this blog because I have trouble believing these "basics" are baseline collector dolls. They may arrive in only a swimsuit with accessories, but the faces on these girls are anything but "basic".
My last blog entry included a review of East 59th Street Basics Pin Up Allure Victoire and Summer Glamour Victoire - East 59th Street Basics, and I blogged about the phenomenal NuFace Basic Natural High Lilith Blair - Nuface Basics. After owning these basics dolls, I was eager to receive Malibu Sky Agnes Von Weiss, which arrived recently.
Here she is full length in her shipping box. (The packaging on these dolls is similar to the way past ITBE and Style Lab dolls were produced. It is minimal but effective. They do come with regular IT shippers though.)
And a closeup in the box.
Out of the box realness.
My "proof in the pudding" test is always how well a doll redresses. I'm not sure why but I see this version of Agnes as much younger that previous productions. She makes a great companion to the first Giselle Diefendorf, Costume Drama.
Here she is wearing the ensemble from Dynamite Girl, Electro Pop Rufus.
And now for something more appropriate for the queen.
Malibu Sky Agnes Von Weiss is very popular with collectors and with an open edition, I'm sure she will be living in many collections this year!

I agree the basics that I have all are so lovely! Some of the best Integrity faces I think. I've been trying to limit my IT purchases since I became so enamored of the JS Muses, but I had to have Malibu Agnes too. (and basic Lilith and Poppy and the E59th basics)
Hi! Do you have any Deja Vu dolls for sale? If you do, my email is sunyoungc@gmail.com
This was my first Agnes, and she has now been joined by 9 of her sisters! I still can't believe she was just $99.
